Tucked away at the end of the north wing, Fiddlehead offers space, privacy, and timeless charm making it one of our most requested rooms. This peaceful retreat is designed for couples looking to relax, reconnect, and enjoy quiet moments together.
The room’s plantation-style four-poster bed brings old world European elegance, complemented by a soft, nature-inspired palette of grey, olive green, beige, and touches of gold. Step outside to your private patio, nestled beside the northern perennial garden, and take in the fresh mountain air.
Name Inspiration
Fiddleheads are the furled fronds from a fledgling fern, harvested for use as a vegetable. Left on the plant, each fiddlehead would unroll into a new frond. While the fiddleheads of certain ferns can be harvested and eaten. Vermont is home to a variety of Ferns. Ostrich ferns, known locally as “fiddleheads” grow wild in wet areas of the Northeastern North America in the Spring. Not all fiddleheads are edible, however. Bracken fiddleheads are toxic.
