The Experience
Every corner of the Stone Hill Inn garden invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Wander the paths and discover a hammock swaying gently, a sparkling waterfall surrounded by flowers, and cozy spots for wildlife watching.
For the bird lovers, our gardens are a symphony of activity. Many of our guests enjoy sitting quietly with their favorite bird-identification app, letting it listen to the diverse calls of Vermont's songbirds while they cross new sightings off their list.
With trails leading to scenic views of Mount Mansfield and spots to relax with a good book or a loved one, the garden feels like your own private escape.

Boasting views of Mount Mansfield, our gardens are both intimate and spacious. Our private hiking trail winds through our nine-acre property, leading you deeper into Vermont’s natural beauty while keeping the inn just steps away.
Winter Fun
When winter comes, the gardens transform into a snowy wonderland. Couples can hop on the old-fashioned toboggan run and ride together, laughing all the way down. If you’re up for a peaceful adventure, grab a pair of snowshoes and explore our trail, taking in the quiet beauty of the snow-covered forest. It’s the perfect mix of fun, romance, and winter magic.
Your Private Escape
Our guest rooms open directly to the gardens. Step outside with your morning coffee, sneak out to swing in the hammock, or take a nighttime stroll under the stars. The gardens are always close by, waiting to make your stay feel even more special.

The gardens are full of life. Birds, butterflies, and the occasional woodland guest wander through. We even have wildlife cameras that give you a peek into the surrounding forest.

Sterling, The Notch, and Cotton Brook have the best waterfall views and White Birch has a lovely side view.

We couldn’t have found a better home away from home for our weekend in VT. Found this gem online and booked their suite, the Catamount Room, for our honeymoon. The online pictures don’t do this place justice. Kristie and Todd are amazing people, a true representation of hospitality. Not only did they open up their beautiful home to us, but they were there to help with planning our time in VT, arranged for a fabulous dinner out, and made us feel at home. What a wonderfully serene gem to stay in! Breakfast (included) is top-notch gourmet, with freshly cut fruits and so-much-more (and far superior to the big-name hotel breakfasts). It is our first experience at a B&B in Vermont (we are Vermonters so don’t often choose to getaway in our own state), but we would love to come back for another romantic getaway and look forward to staying here during the winter months as well.
