1/2 Day Fly Fishing Instructional Trip in Stowe, Vermont
This popular 4-hour program begins at the shop, where guests are fitted for boots and waders if needed. Beginners will start with a short casting lesson on the trout pond to learn both the roll cast and false cast. An experienced guide will then take you to one of many fishing spots, where you'll learn techniques as you fish! Your guide will show you how and where to make the perfect cast, how to mend the line, how to get a great drift, and most importantly, where to find the fish.

Bring comfortable clothing, sunglasses, water, snacks, rain gear, a camera, insect repellent, and a hat — everything else is provided (unless you prefer to bring your own), including rods, tackle, and waders. Trips run in the morning and the afternoon. Timing is flexible depending on the time of year and availability.
