Get away from it all and avoid the crowds ...except maybe for a Moose! Discover an undiscovered part of Stowe well off the established trail. Begin near the foot of Mt. Mansfield on Notch Brook and the Green Mountain State Forest and two permanently preserved Stowe Land Trust properties. You will cover Notch Brook, Bingham Falls, Ranch Valley, Sterling Pond, Taylor Lodge, and Taft Lodge. This is a guided tour so please call a week in advance to schedule.
Difficulty: you can set the pace at which you feel comfortable - i.e., moderate to difficult over a three to four hour morning or afternoon. Space is limited; please call a week in advance. Cancellations require a 48-hour notice.
